DEMYSTIFYING COVID-19 FOR AFRICAN COMMUNITIES – MULTILINGUALISM (2020)

Building on the communicative power of 3D to SHOW the personal protection issues required during the COVID-19 pandemic and, by doing so, help communities better understand what we can do as individuals to minimise new infections. This project was when infections were rising, building up to the arrival of the second wave in November 2020. So much has changed since that time.

The project created an engaging, memorable 3D experience that explains visually WHY the critical actions are needed (masking, distance, washing) – in a way that the audience understands WHY it is essential to change their behaviour…

The animation was shared (via Creative Commons) to other African counties, translated (localised) into local minority languages, and disseminated through their local networks. The project cumulated in a UNESCO Webinar addressing effective communication in Africa during the pandemic.
